Especially at dusk, when the city lights come on. | Mr Car calum edmond Post Count: 10 Msg: #4 1714 days ago, March 15th 2005 | toronto is fine, but it has no historical stuff! | underground traveller christina Post Count: 3 Msg: #5 1714 days ago, March 15th 2005 | Not a whole lot but it is very diverse and that adds to the beauty. I also thought of Black River, JA for the most beautiful "town" | Mr Car calum edmond Post Count: 10 Msg: #6 1714 days ago, March 15th 2005 | have you been to Edinburgh? Ali Ali Watters Post Count: 3865 Msg: #7 1714 days ago, March 16th 2005 | Haven't been to Edinburgh either, or Toronto but cities I have been very impressed by include; | Sydney - the Harbour is beautiful Prague - the river, bridges and the Castle behind Krakow - the central square San Francisco - when the mist lifts... I think most cities have a redeeming feature or two - even London - here are some cityscape photos from other travelblog users. A mini Efiel Tower to Pyramids... all wrapped up in neon and money. TRAVELSAPIEN RGT Post Count: 22 Msg: #10 1709 days ago, March 20th 2005 | TRAVELSAPIEN would put Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as the most beautiful Harbour City in the world. Sydney comes close but no cigar. Vancouver recently was given the 3rd place as most livable city in the world behind the Swiss contingent taking up #1 & #2. | Vancouver will have the 2010 Winter Olympics in conjuction with Whistler Mountain just 85 km away. Whistler has the longest downhill vertical in the world and some of the world's most expensive real estate. Vancouver also is noted for having some of the best food in the world. Many from Hong Kong say the Chinese food rivals anything from China as to quality, cleanliness and taste. Thai food follow with Sushi next. The wide cultural diversity offers up foods from everywhere. Vancouver also has a large movie making population with many stars sited in the streets regularily. No hype like Hollywood. They will talk with you readily and sign autographs. Of course there is also the fact Vancouver is noted for having some of the most beautiful home grown girls in the world. Many have found their way to centerfold Playboy over the years. Must be the water. Check Vancouver out at www.tourismvancouver.com. Nice. dougdo Doug Dosdall Post Count: 1 Msg: #11 1709 days ago, March 20th 2005 | I live in Vancouver but perhaps the most memorably beautiful city I've ever been in is Stockholm. The old city is wonderfully well preserved and there is water everywhere; I guess it's basically a series of connnected islands. When I went it was February and there was broken ice flowing down the rivers that had just melted. Truly magical. | My travel blog and photos Doug. MissJ J L Post Count: 7 Msg: #12 1706 days ago, March 23rd 2005 | Hong Kong City is probbly the prettiest place I have ever seen. Its so picturisque because the city is blended in with the mountains. I was initially blown away by the contrast (of the sky scrapers being built in the mountain vallies). | Mr Car calum edmond Post Count: 10 Msg: #13 1706 days ago, March 23rd 2005 | how can a city of skyscrapers be beautiful? | makes me laugh! give me Edinburgh, Prague or Vienna any day... daivii katinas Post Count: 1 Msg: #14 1705 days ago, March 24th 2005 | http://lovelyeurope.blogspot.com | PeteSarah Sarah Kennedy + Peter Sherratt Post Count: 8 Msg: #15 1699 days ago, March 30th 2005 | Rio de Janeiro is the most beautiful city I have ever seen - Paris isn't bad either, but Rio leaves everything else standing! | Now for some shameless self-promotion - Our Rio article with pictures Parisbeba Jaye Post Count: 1 Msg: #16 1696 days ago, April 2nd 2005 | Paris, the city of lights! | Mr Car calum edmond Post Count: 10 Msg: #17 1696 days ago, April 2nd 2005 | hmmm Paris? | Nice..but a little too busy! too much to see in such a short time!
