Reply to this The most beautiful big city is Toronto. Especially at dusk, when the city lights come on.
Reply to this Not a whole lot but it is very diverse and that adds to the beauty. I also thought of Black River, JA for the most beautiful "town"
Reply to this have you been to Edinburgh? I guess not..Ive been to Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle, Leiden, London, Prague, Vienna, Innsbruck, Paris, Glsagow, Inverness, Luxembourg,
Prague is nice too...
Reply to this Haven't been to Edinburgh either, or Toronto but cities I have been very impressed by include;
Sydney - the Harbour is beautiful
Prague - the river, bridges and the Castle behind
Krakow - the central square
San Francisco - when the mist lifts...
I think most cities have a redeeming feature or two - even London - here are some cityscape photos from other travelblog users. (and a few of mine) look for "forum code: [photo=xxxx]" when you click a photo to post in the forums like this.
Reply to this Las Vegas by far!!!!
ok sorry, I'll recover from my fits of laughter in a moment.
Reply to this > Las Vegas by far!
Oh - good call 😉 - Vegas has a little bit of every city in the World. A mini Efiel Tower to Pyramids... all wrapped up in neon and money.
Reply to this TRAVELSAPIEN would put Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as the most beautiful Harbour City in the world. Sydney comes close but no cigar. Vancouver recently was given the 3rd place as most livable city in the world behind the Swiss contingent taking up #1 & #2.
Vancouver will have the 2010 Winter Olympics in conjuction with Whistler Mountain just 85 km away. Whistler has the longest downhill vertical in the world and some of the world's most expensive real estate. Vancouver also is noted for having some of the best food in the world. Many from Hong Kong say the Chinese food rivals anything from China as to quality, cleanliness and taste. Thai food follow with Sushi next. The wide cultural diversity offers up foods from everywhere. Vancouver also has a large movie making population with many stars sited in the streets regularily. No hype like Hollywood. They will talk with you readily and sign autographs. Of course there is also the fact Vancouver is noted for having some of the most beautiful home grown girls in the world. Many have found their way to centerfold Playboy over the years. Must be the water. Check Vancouver out at www.tourismvancouver.com. Nice.
Reply to this I live in Vancouver but perhaps the most memorably beautiful city I've ever been in is Stockholm. The old city is wonderfully well preserved and there is water everywhere; I guess it's basically a series of connnected islands. When I went it was February and there was broken ice flowing down the rivers that had just melted. Truly magical.

Reply to this Hong Kong City is probbly the prettiest place I have ever seen. Its so picturisque because the city is blended in with the mountains. I was initially blown away by the contrast (of the sky scrapers being built in the mountain vallies).
