San Francisco, 29 degrees!!!! Luckily for me,I was wrapped up warm and snuggly in a pair of jeans and jersey. We got a cab from the BART stop at Embarcadero and got to the hotel about 3pm local time. I tried out some small talk about the weather with some hotel guests which went something like this: Them: 'It's Damn hot' Me: It's 29 degrees! Them: No it's not, it's 85 degrees. Me: Oh (Uncomfortable) Them: That guy's crazy, quick! open the door. Here are some picks from our hotel. Kalifornien California here we come. Kalifornien ist sicherlich einer der schönsten und Speziellsten Staaten der USA. Immer noch auf dem 101 fährt man in den Redwood Park mit den riesigen Redwood Bäumen, welche zum Glück nicht ganz alle gefällt wurden….Denn diese sind bis 2000 Jahre alt und wachsen nur sehr langsam. Richtung Süden kommt dann endlich SAN FRANCSICO, mit Alcatraz, der Goldengate Bridge, den Cablecars und den Hippies. Von dieser Stadt kann man fast nicht genug kriegen und ist bis jetzt nach Vancouver die beste Stadt unserer Reise. Und shoppen kann man dort mehr als genug. Die Reise ging dann weiter Richtung Lake Tahoe (wir fanden dort einen Wunderschönen Zeltplatz in dem Nationalpark- wir empfehlen sowieso allem Amerika Reisenden in den Parks zu übernachten. In exactly a week today I will be on a plane to Lima, and spend 6 months in South America. As the clock ticks away, I grow more anxious each day. Every morning when I'd wake up, I'd experience an euphoria that no words can express, followed by waves of uncertainty, that puts even my normally calmed self in an indescribable uneasy state. After all, 6 months is a long time, considering I've only came back from Brazil just 6 months ago. Anyways, this shall be a good experience, and I look forward to it!! So almost one year after we finished this blog, we're picking it back up again. I tried to change the name from "Lisa goes to Asia" to Lisa goes somewhere else...but I am not so sure it will work. But good news is, I am going to Asia in a few weeks anyway...so we'll keep it as is. Evan and I are moving to London on Saturday and we're planning more exciting trips...these blogs are a great way to record our travels...so I hope it stays interesting. We are moving to Sloane Square in London, just about a mile's walk to the office. We'll post some pics of our place when we get there...but for now, wish us luck packing the shoes again! ... read more
