While daddy didn't start travelling until his 20's, I was born travelling. I might not remember everywhere I have been, but my travels help make me who I am today, and will mold the person I shall become.

2 1/2 weeks in Iceland and Greenland...Travelling the first week with good friend Maddie and her daddy, Lenny

It was pretty. The thing I loved most about Paris was the Eiffel Tower. It was very tall. It was sparkling at night. We went up to the tippy top. - Sofia When daddy was planning this trip he found out that we could not make it back from Romania to the USA in one day and we would have to spend the night in another European city. His choices were Madrid, London, and Paris, and he felt that even though had been to France before (Nice last year) that Paris would be the best layover for less than 18 hours since it had the EIFFEL TOWER. I have see that in so many books, cartoons, and pictures, so I already knew about it and was very exicted. So early afternoon after a change of planes ... read more

The hotel was so little. It only had 4 rooms. We had this bread that was so good with cinammon. We went to a park with old houses and played house. We ate in the hunting room of Dracula's Restaurant. - Sofia It was time to leave the medieval towns of Transylvania and Dracula and get back to Bucharest to catch our flight the next day. As we had not spent anytime in the city on our arrival, daddy thought it would be a good idea to get there early to have at least 1/2 day in the capital. So after a few hour drive from Hotel Dracula in Capatatenii near Dracula's real castle, we arrived in Bucharest. We stayed at a very cute hostel/Bed and Breakfast called Vila Gabriela in Otopeni less than 2 km ... read more

We went to a hotel. We went up more than a thousand steps to go to Dracula's real castle. I was a little scared. Vlad Tepes is not Dracula. He does not bite people on the neck. He is a hero in Romania because he saw mean people and put a stake up their butt. - Sofia After 2 really fun days in Sibiu it was time to go see Dracula's Real Castle. By this time in the trip I really began to understand that difference between Dracula and Vlad Tepes. I learned that Dracula from the movie (book) was a vampire who sucked blood and was not real. However, he was based on Vlad Tepes whose father was nick named Dracul and he had the nick name of Draculea. Daddy told me that he learned ... read more

We went up a hill after getting keys from somebody. It was very pretty. We did a lot of videos and pictures. We went up a clock tower. We tried to hurry down before the bells did not ring, but they did. We went to a park and I saw a lot of snow and jumped in it. I got wet and daddy brought everything but socks so I had to use my gloves on my feet. - Sofia A couple hours and we arrived in Sibiu. This was a really cool city and we stayed right in the middle of the old town at the Old Town Hostel right in the middle of one of the big squares. We stayed there for 2 nights. We checked out the old town area when we arrived and ... read more

We went into Vlad Tepes house where he was born and is now a restaurant. We ate there. We went up a bell tower and I found my name. - Sofia On the way to our next destination, Sighisoara, we stopped by 2 small towns on the way to our next stop Sighisoara. The towns were Prejmer and Harman and both had really cool fortified churches. These were Saxon churches that were surrounded by huge walls to protect them. They were more like fortresses. Really cool looking. It was now time to go to Sighisoara, the birth place of Vlad Tepes aka "Dracula". This was another medieval town. We stayed right in the center of the old town at Burg Hostel. We had planned to stay 2 nights here, but daddy heard there were a lot ... read more

Romania was very pretty. I went skiing for the first time and fell a little. We also went on tubes. It was very fun. We also went to Dracula's fake castle. It was very nice. We also went into a palace. I saw cute dogs and cats at the hostel and it was very fun. - Sofia After flight from Miami to NYC, a 1/2 day in NYC spent with Lady Liberty, overnight flight to London and then another plane and we finally arrived in Bucharest, Romania. We immediately got our rental car and drove 3+ hours to Brasov. While the first part of the drive was boring, we then passed through cool mountains and SNOW!! I was so excited. When we arrived at the Rolling Stone Hostel daddy was a bit tired, but I wanted ... read more

We went on a boat to see the Statue of Liberty. It was pretty. It was a little cold. - Sofia It was time for our Spring Break trip (okay I took 2 extra days off from school but I had not missed any all year) to Romania, with a day in New York City on the way there and one night in Paris on the way back. With an 8 hour layover in New York City, daddy thought I should see the Statue of Liberty. I had seen so many pictures of it and in TV shows, that it was time to see it in real life. We arrived at the airport, and took taxi to the city, then a boat to the island where the Statue of Liberty is. It was sooo cool. I ... read more

"I loved when we saw the spoonbills. They were awesome. The smores where amazing. I went with my friend Luna. We played on an ipad. It was very nice. I hold an alligator but I dropped it. And I held a snake. It was very very nice. We went on a airboat. It was sooo cool. It was noisy. We slept in tents. And my brother came with us."- Sofia After living in Miami for over 6 years and never going to the everglades, daddy thought now was the time. So with my brother, Vitor, and good friend Luna and her crazy dad Sean, we went to camp for a night. Less than an hour away, we first stopped at Rober Is Here to have awesome milkshakes as we checked out the animals at the petting ... read more
