I have been to a lot of places, daddy has been to more, but I will catch up to him, as I am only 4!

While daddy didn't start travelling until his 20's, I was born travelling. I might not remember where I have been, but my travels help make me who I am today, and will mold the person I shall become.

Decided to include Masaya and Managua in one blog. We did 2 side trips to Masaya and spent our final night in the capital of Managua. From Granada, we did our first trip to Masaya on Thursday night as on this night every week they have music, dancing, folklore and food in the Masaya central market. We hired a taxi driver from the hotel to take us there. He was very nice and I had a lot of fun with him. First, we listened to a Nicaraguan rock group. During this show, daddy bought me a cool puppet (I have liked [View Full Entry]

(Above is daddy's first attempt at videotaping....He kinda sucks, but will get better.....especially after he learns to never put the camera sideways when shooting video!) Ferry back to San Jorge and then a short 1 hour taxi ride to Granada where we stayed at the best hotel on our trip, Hotel con Corazon. This hotel was really cool....It had a the game of chess in the main courtyard that, while I did not understand the game, I had a lot of fun with the pieces that were almost as big as I was. There was a beautiful garden to run around [View Full Entry]

Our second stop in Nicaragua was the island of Ometepe. Ometepe is a small island that has 2 incredible volcanoes seperated by a small isthmus. It is located in Lake Nicaragua which is a huge lake that you cannot even see across. We left San Juan del Sur early, said goodbye to Dennis, and it was a short 45 minute taxi ride to San Jorge. From there, we took the ferry to San Jose del Sur on the island. It was SOOOOO windy. We were supposed to take a fast small boat once we arrived from the Hacienda we were staying [View Full Entry]

Back to Central America for a short trip. This was my 3rd time to Central America, and this time it was to Nicaragua. That is one of the great things about living in Miami, such a short flight, 2 1/2 hours and you are in another country. It takes longer to fly and visit relatives in my own country. After arriving in Managua, we took a taxi ride for less than 2 hours to the beach and surfing town of San Juan del Sur. It was beautiful. Here we met up with Daddy's high school friend, Dennis, who is working in [View Full Entry]

Time for a Thanksgiving trip, and this time we did it not only in our country, but even in our own state! Last Thanksgiving, daddy had to go to Buenos Aires for business, and the 2 previous ones, he took me to Costa Rica and Honduras, so we decided to stay close to home, especially since we have a trip planned to Nicaragua in less than 6 weeks. So we took off Thursday morning and we headed south to the Keys. We drove for a little more than 2 hours and arrived at our campsite at mile marker 20 (0 is [View Full Entry]

After recently driving around 10 countries in Europe, it was time to travel to somewhere in the United States, and back to the area where daddy grew up....Southern California. The main reason for going was to attend Daddy's cousin Julie's wedding. I had never met her or many of daddy's relatives. I also had never been to a wedding, so this was going to be a lot of fun. It was to be a short trip, less than 40 hours in LA, but I was looking forward to it. On arriving in LA, we were met by Avo' Jay. Avo' is [View Full Entry]

Well it was back to where we started this trip and where we would end it.... Sweden. We returned to the Volvo factory to give the car back. Daddy was now going to have to wait 6-8 weeks until the car arrives in Miami, and drive the "ugly car" until it arrives.. I was really sad to say goodbye to the car with no top. I was very happy that when I arrived, they gave me back my Liseberg rabbit that I had left there 4 weeks earlier. We stayed at Jenny's house, our final couchsurfer. We had met our first [View Full Entry]

Time of for the last new country on our trip.....3 nights in Copenhagen. This time we couchsurfed at Jorn and Line's house. They have a couple kids each, but unfortunately they were staying with their other parents at the time of our visit. The good news was that I could play with their stuff and watch their movies. They even had a swan lake movie, like the story of the ballet I saw in Russia. Jorn and Line were very nice and daddy was happy that they liked wine a lot. Our first full day we took a boat ride in [View Full Entry]

This is the only country on this trip that Daddy and I had been to before. Well, I only was "kind of" there, as it was only 1 night in Frankfurt when I was 4 months old when we were moving from Italy to the USA and we did not catch our connection. This time it was 2 nights in Berlin. We arrived at our hostel, Wombat, and were told that we had a free upgrade to the "apartment" room. This place was awesome. Our apartment had a living room and small kitchen. I loved this hostel, as it had a [View Full Entry]

When we left warsaw, Tomek told us that it was better to drive South for a couple hours then go NE to go to Berlin as the roads were much better and no construction. He recommended spending a couple hours in Wroclaw on the way. However, when daddy was driving he realized that it would be less than 30 minutes out of the way to go to Auschwitz and he thought this was better than stopping in a city for a few hours. Daddy tried to explain to me about Auschwitz. He told me about a very bad person named Hitler [View Full Entry]
