Off to a new continent and a new beginning. Welcome to Miami. While dad says he is from this country, I dont understand why most people dont speak his language. This is the place I will be calling home for quite some time. The weather is great all year round, except for those occasional big storms. I experienced my first hurricane named Wilma. Germany??? Europe » Germany » Hessen » Frankfurt
Well this wasnt supposed to happen. We were trying to get to the US on the day before my dad was finally out of the Air Force, and it did not go smoothly. We did not make our connection and ended staying in Frankfurt one night. Does this count as a country that I have been to? I didnt see much of anything but a hotel. [View Full Entry]

This was my favorite city in Morocco. Stayed in realy cool riad. The main square had so many things to look at. Dad held a snake by my head. He said it wasn't poisonous, but I dont believe him. Lots of music and action. I was sad to leave after the 2 week trip to Morocco and look forward to my next trip to Africa someday. [View Full Entry]

Casablanca was a big city and only stayed there 1 night. While the city was not too pretty, the highlight and reason for not skipping the city was a magnificent mosque....Hassan II, one of the biggest religous monuments in the world. It was very impressive. [View Full Entry]

Meknes was the next stop. Saw the most holiest city in Morocco...Moulay idriss. Also, saw the roman ruins at Volubolis which I thought were more impressive than those found in Italy, but what do I know, I am only 3 months old. Stayed in a really cool riad. [View Full Entry]

Fez/Morocco Africa » Morocco » Fès-Boulemane » Fes
I am 3 months old now and it was finally time to see my second continent...Africa and 3rd Country...Morocco. The first stop was Fez. Very different from where I have been thus far, and I loved it. Saw a huge market (medina) which was a never ending labyrinth of interesting little shops. I saw, okay, slept through a show and saw many interesting muslim sights. We hired a taxi to go into the Atlas Mountains and saw some monkeys. One of my favorite things though, was my first swim ever back at the hotel. [View Full Entry]

Sicily/Italy Europe » Italy » Sicily
My first plane flight took me to the Italian island of Sicily. We rented a car and went all over the island. We saw the roman ruins at Agrigento. Really Cool. On the way back we stopped off and saw the mosaics of Villa de Casale. We went to the beach at Taormina. We also went to Siracuse and Catania. My favorite thing was going up the volcanoe...Mt Etna. My first time out of my birth country, and guess what, they still spoke the same language. After a 4 hour train ride to Milan, then a couple hours north, we arrived to this beautiful area of Switzerland. There was a big lake and many castles. [View Full Entry]

I had less than 4 months to do some sightseeing in Italy. I was lucky to get 2 fast trips to Venice and Rome. There was a boat stop with my name on it in Venice. In Rome, I was allowed to go where most people couldn't because a friend is a firefighter for the Vatican. Gotta love connections. My stay in Italy was too short, but I know I will be going back every few years. [View Full Entry]

Italy/SONO NATA Europe » Italy
In the small town of Sacile, in the region NE Italy known as Fruili-Venezia-Giulia, I entered this world. For 4 months I lived in a small town named Grizzo at the base of the Dolomites. It was about 1 hour north of Venice, 1 hour west of Slovenia, and 1 hour south of Austria. It was beautiful. I saw a city with a whole bunch of canals and pigeons and it was in the land of Amarone outside of Verona that I was introduced to wine tasting. Well, I didnt get to taste the wine, but got to know the nice [View Full Entry]
