Hello all,
I'll be keeping this short and sweet (?) I've been studying for about 5.5 - 6 hours for my test tomorrow. This is the first language school I've been to that has one... So not studying for a good grade but hopefully to not totally bomb it! Anyway, it was a great review of the past two weeks and I"m hoping it 'sticks'.
After classes today, our little group of 3 went to lunch and J___ and I shared a pizza, it was a 4 seasons pizza, forgot to take a picture. But it was divided into quarters and one had mushrooms, one artichoke, one prosciutto and the last another kind of meat of unknown specificity! (Is that a word??) it's now 11:32 and I'm ready for bed! We enjoyed the olio picante on it too, really adds a nice extra bit of flavor.
After lunch, back to the school for a "surprise" outing which turned out to be a walk to a few different places in the city center and being told some history about it. Interesting the parts I picked up during the explanations in Italian, she was kind enough to do a bit of extra
elaborating in English to clear up some things.
The teacher left us and we all parted ways, I came back to the apartment and started studying, had a nice break when Adrienne face timed with me.
There you have it, my second to the last day here, laundry just finished so will put it out to dry. My bed is made up and ready for me, otherwise known as "the rack" ;-). See attached photo!
I will miss my time here, I would say it's been very good as a whole after a bit of a rocky start. I've learned some things about myself and what/who I like to work with and not. Will be making a list of random things I don't want to forget for and IF there is a next time.
Really looking forward to going home, getting back into my routine (Learned I really do like my routine! But I do think it's good for me to shake things up and not get too stuck in a rut.)
BTW, thank you for commenting, Karen, Kathy, and Laurie, I've tried repeatedly to comment back but there's a glitch and it wouldn't let me, sent another email but who knows when it
This light was connected to the hospital
The hospital isn't that close but when a baby was born this light would turn on will get fixed.
Karen: Yes, loving the buffalo mozzarella and love that I'm only paying 2,90 at the grocery for it compared to paying 36 euros at the restaurant in Venice, and it's the exact same stuff!
Kathy: Don't know why the date was changed or the location but fixed it now, to get the storage situation fixed I deleted the deleted photos and that opened up lots of room!
Laurie: Great to hear from you!
Comment away, love hearing from anyone that cares to. I'm sorry if I don't comment back but I don't think it's user error as TravelPod said there was a glitch but they thought they had it fixed.
A domani!
Wendy

Random Thoughts:
Good to bring: small notepad, pencil sharpener, flashlight, umbrella, small nylon backpack, two casual dresses
Next time bring: a big eraser
Didn't need in late September:
3rd pair of pants, long sleeved shirt, 1/4 zip layering top, two sleeveless tops, light jacket (but still need to bring one just in case)
**Learned that I get too stressed trying to communicate with people that won't communicate, not worth it in the future. So if I'm trying to buy/organize something and
they can't/won't respond will move on to the next company that will.

Ah, that's hard! I remember how much impact the beds had on how I felt while we were there last year.
