Following 4 Teens Through France!- June & July 2011

Following 4 teens through France! My son, along with a few of his fellow homeschooled French language classmates, will be having an adventure traveling in France for two weeks. They have been fundraising and working while I have been planning and organizing for the past 18 months. The big event is drawing near, there are only a few days left before we leave.

I believe we have a wonderful group going, another mom, my son, three other students, and myself make up our little tour group. I am looking forward to a fun trip with all of them as we seem to be very compatible in terms of our worldviews and interests.

I will try to post at least every few days and will be encouraging the others to chime in on my blog to give another perspective besides my own during this trip. If our march through Paris is particularly hectic the posts may be delayed!

Our schedule of travel is the following:

June -st , 2011: Leaving from Pasco for Paris, we should arrive there, if all goes as scheduled, at 11 am Paris time.

We will be spending a little over a week in a two bedroom apartment in the heart of the Latin / St. Germain Quarter.

June -th, 2011: Check out from our apartment, take the metro to the train station, traveling to Le Mont St. Michel on the coast of northern France, spending one night on this beautiful and famous island. (see picture)

July, - 2011: Will take the bus to Pontorson and train to Bayeux to enjoy the Medieval Festival, a day long D-Day Tour, and the 1000 year old Bayeux Tapestry. We are spending several nights here in a hotel run by the nuns of La Joie Saint Beno?t.

July -th, 2011: We will be making our way back to Paris, spend one night on the Ile de la Cite before getting on our flight home the next morning.
