Day 4

Big excitement - we head to the home of the greatest soccer team in the world according to Cooper, who has become the number on fan of Lionel Messi. Caught a taxi into town, the bus queue was huge. Then jumped on the good old hoho bus (hop on hop off) and toured Barcelona - got off at Camp Nou - home of Barcelona FC. Looked around and spent ages shopping. Coop left a very happy boy - they even have Barca FC chips - which Kasey promptly ate.

Then headed to see the work of Gaudi - in it's varous forms - we were all totally blown away by Sargda Famillia - maybe i spelt that wrong. Spent ages there looking around. Can't beleive it still has another 20 yrs to go and has been being built since 1863. It is like nothing else i've ever seen - but most of Gaudi's work is like nothing else.

Las Ramblas ended our day walking back to the ship via the Christopher Columbus monument.

Day 5

Sea day, swimming andeating and lots of reading from the great onboard library, unlike other cruises we didn't really do anything except watch movie and swim, no sea days mean just being off the ship alot more.

Day 6

Tunisia - or tatooine to us Star Wars fans. For the first time we did a ship tour, not really sure about how safe Tunisa would be after last years revolution. Glad we did do it saw ancient carthage - it brought back ancient history and Hannibal, his elephants and the Punic wars!!!! Also went to Sidi Bou Siad - very pretty but realy just a shopping stop - and boy the Arabic traders were intense, made the Turkish guys at the Grand Bazzar look very tame. We survived but some how ended up with ceramic bongo drums! Then on to the Antonine Baths before heading back to the ship via a nice touristy camel ride for the kids!

Day 7

Palmero, a memorable time, very old city andwe started to get a taste for just how important the Catholic religion is for Italians - churches and Cathedrals everywhere. We took a horse and carriage ride to orientate ourselves to the city, 2hrs for 50 euro which was fine, until the driver stopped after and hour and told us that was it! Arguements followed - which with our limited italian were a bit one way - he pulled out a broucher and tried to demand 80 euros for the hour. Then tried to get us back in the carriage, eventually it all ended with us giving him 30 euros. We then headed off for more sight seeing and gelato. We tried to find internet access to finalise our transfer back to Rome - no luck, but I did end up standing outside a cafe for a considerable period of time with a whole bunch of phillipino cruise staff using the cafes WIFI!

Loving kasey's style
Eating the chips and her preferred mode of transport - but is she sure that a camel is better than a horse? Phoebe think she should stick to the cruiser in your previous post
