Squeeeeze up!Squeeeeze up!Squeeeeze up!

The reason I can take a photo from this angle is because I am sitting on a teeny tiny plastic chair in the aisle of the bus. All I can say is thank goodness for Travel Calm.
The rest of Battambang was uneventful and I gadly said goodbye to the dusty town. I was ready to put my pack down for a bit and catch up with everyone back at the flat. I paid extra for the faster bus back to PP. Unfortunately, it turned out that my bus stopped seven million times before we arrived in PP 6 hours later. I was sick to death of being on a bus and as soon as I strolled through the school gate I felt like I was 'home'. It was a wonderful feeling and when I walked through the school the reception the children gave me brought a tear to my eye. I celebrated my homecoming with Vegemite on cruskits for lunch. The day was not over, I still had to say goodbye to Abi who was heading off at 3.30pm. It was very quiet that night in the flat. I had now said farewell to all the volunteers who had been here when I arrived.

For the rest of the week I taught english lessons. On Friday we took the entire school to Olympic Stadium for sports and games. It was a million degrees in the sun so it was a looong morning. Later that afternoon the children trickled out of school ready for school holidays. We said goodbye like any other Friday, I couldn't bare to tell them it was probably the last time we would see each other.

Mike arrived Thursday night and it has been great catching up on old times. Diana and Mike have both lived in Prague recently and as fate would have it, even know some of the same people. Mike has been entertaining us with his insane knowledge of random facts. I'm looking forward to our time travelling together. A few days ago I couldn't wait to get back to the safety and comfort of the flat, but now I am ready to go again and am looking forward to seeing another slice of Cambodia's beauty.

got your postcard!!!!
Hi Chloe, glad that things are continuing to go well for you. You seem to be meeting up with some nice people to travel with , which must be nicer than going it completely alone! Tony and I have just returned today from 5 nights at Lucieville. It was really nice being in our chalet with the rain coming down, sitting by the fire reading etc. ...so relaxing. back to work on Monday for a long 11 week term!! I always enjoy reading your comments. Thanks for the postcard. Love, Marian
