Day 1 Arrive Cape Town
Tour departs: Cape Town Int'l Airport one hour after the arrival of our selected flight. Welcome to Cape Town, one of the world's most beautiful cities. Day 2 Discover Cape Town
Sightseeing in and around Cape Town includes Castle of Good Hope, Houses of Parliament, St. George's Cathedral (Archbishop Desmond Tutu's cathedral) and The Company Gardens. Surrounding Cape Town are beautiful beaches, delightful coves, harbors and villages. Explore the Cape Peninsula, taking the funicular up to Cape Point and the historic lighthouse for views of the Cape of Good Hope. Visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens where unique South African plant species are on display. Day 3 Explore The Winelands
Take a journey by cable car to the top of Table Mountain where you can walk along trails with outstanding sea views; an amazing 1400 plant species reside on the mountain! South Africa's wine producing region, just outside of Cape Town, is one of the most beautiful in the world. The wine trail includes a visit to the town of Stellenbosch; founded in 1679, the town has remained true to its mostly-Dutch origins as witnessed throughout with oak-lined streets and whitewashed Cape Dutch buildings. Day 4 Pilgrim's Rest
Fly into South Africa's newest airport, Kruger-Mpumalanga International, taking an afternoon drive through forested woodlands and timber country for an overnight stay in the historic town of Pilgrim's Rest. Your journey takes you through the middle and eastern "veldt," with bush-covered plains, steep mountains and unique grasslands. Gold was discovered in Pilgrim's Rest in 1873; for the next 100 years, the town enjoyed prosperity while still retaining its quaint village charm. Meals BD
Day 5 Lowveldt / Sabi Sabi
The lowveldt takes in a variety of landscapes characterized by scrubby terrain and regions of lush subtropical vegetation. Enjoy views of the Blyde River Canyon from Three Rondavels and visit Bourke's Luck Potholes, strange cylindrical holes in rocks created by whirlpools. Arrive at Sabi Sabi, an exclusive private game reserve on the banks of the Sabie River. Day 6 Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve
Rise early for a morning game drive with a ranger aboard a four-wheel drive, open-top Land Rover. Wildlife sightings today may include a myriad of game animals such as leopards, lions, elephant, the graceful impala and the dazzling zebra. Return for a buffet lunch at the lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Skilled and experienced trackers, the rangers provide fascinating insights into local geography and wildlife, as well as the reserve's conservation efforts.
