We are interested in climbing Mt. Hanang and want to know information from anyone who has climbed it and where they stayed, who were their guides, etc. Any information on costs and accommodations would be helpful. Reply to this

Hi Im Emmanuel Bildad from Tanzania.Im Managing Director of Lillac adventures and safaris.
I have long term of expirience of organised safari at our national parks, trekking at Mt Kilimanjaro and Oldonyo Lengai this is active Volcanic mountain, but now is hard to climb because is erupted but you can go thier and see how is erupt and you can do cultural tourism at Maasai Bomas,Visit Lake Natron where you can see Millions of Flamingos and walk to the water falls.

Regarding your interest i have born at Babati district and i know very well how you can reach thier.

Firstly when you arrive from the plane you can overnight at Arusha hotel any its depping on your burget and the next day you will drive to Hanang where you will overnight at Village camp site and have dinner thier. The next day you will start your trek to top of Mt Hanang,i have two option if you would like to enjow your climb you have to takes two days which means you will start climb the first day and you will overnight at the near of Hanang Top and the next day you will be on top of mountain, and gets good views,of Kenya,Babati districh, Hanang town, and Mount Kilimanjaro. And you will start to drop down ready to drive to Babati districh where you will rest and hang thier before you drive back to Arusha.

Ok here is the some simple Itinerary

Since the last post has costs and prices I wanted to let anyone who is interested know that our costs for 3 adults was barely 1/4th of the Lillac Adventures cost. We opted NOT to do a 2 day climb, so that would increase your cost if you choose to do two days. The total climb in one day started at 7 am and reached the summit at 12:30 ... then the decent we were at our car by 4 and back in Arusha by 10PM. We drove our own car as well. So there are options, if any one is interested in going. Reply to this

hello!
we would like to climb mount hanang as well!!
we don't have a car though, how far is the starting point from katesh?
is there a path to the top?
we might bring a tent to do it in two days, depends, what we find there.
where did you stay in katesh?
thanks!!
