Hi Ryan,

Welcome to travelblog.

You might be interested in this forum topic: Is 29 too old to travel?

General consensus is that you are never too old or too young. The best time is when you personally feel ready.

Best wishes,

Eleanor

Gooner it has nothing to do with age, its having the courage to follow your dreams😉

Ryan, I started travelling around France in my school holidays when I was 16 and later through other parts of Europe (anyone else remember the riots in Paris in '68?).

I came overland to Australia through Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India (the old Hippie Trail) in the late 1960s when I was 21/22 when there was no Lonely Planet nor any other guide books. I have travelled around most of Asia and S.E.Asia since then.

I am now nearly 60 and my wife and I have recently spent time travelling by bus/train/taxi through the Middle East and are looking forward to travelling again next year.

How old you are doesn't matter - although I think I appreciated more as I got older and gained perspective. Reply to this
