Want some opinion on how safe egypt is right now.
We will be traveling to egypt in sept for a 150 mile race I'm competing in. We wanted to hear recent travelers' opinions on where to go and what to do while considering an political stuff that's been stirred up. NPR has had a few stories on protests and clashes (what ever that means??) in the last few months. Thanks.
Reply to this Hi,there is no problem in going to Egypt in sept.,its really safe.
actually sept.is one of the best months in Egypt regarding the weather.most of the tourists when they come to Egypt, they first stay in cairo for a night, visiting the pyramids and tha national museum.then they go to sinai, probably sharm el shikh or hurgada they enjoy there the sun and the sand ,swiming, camping, snorkling and diving, and also you can try the beduin dinner night.you will really love it there,if you are interested in the history you can go to louxor and aswan, you will take a flight from cairo to louxor and then stay in louxor 4 one night exploring the country and visting the ancient temples then you can take a nile criuse where you will stay in 4 three days, you will enjoy the nile view and the Egyptian country side.then you will reach louxor visit the ancient temples, museum and the high dam then you will take a flight back to cairo.for more details check through the internet and dont go by your self always organise with a tourisim agency, because this is your first time and i guess you dont want to miss something and then you can go all alone maybe next time, also there in cairo an old marchant called khan el khalili where you can buy traditional cloth and also hand made crafts.I hope you will enjoy your time, dont worry.just plan 4 the trip well.bye
