traveling alone and trying to arrange a reasonably priced tour that isn't hellish
First time in Egypt, June 29-July9th. Want to see the Pyramids, Luxor, Falluca one night on the Nile, explore Cairo, and possibly two days at the Red Sea. Need some advice about setting up
a tour, is including the Red Sea in this amount of time too much? Are there places that I absolutely must go to that I haven't mentioned.
I really want to get a sense of the people and not be drowned to death in touristdom. Although
I do want to see the tourist sites. I would like to have a beautiful trip, experience the people, and see these antiquities, without being fried, haggled, or gauged.
Would appreciate any and all advice.
thanks
Reply to this Hi,
I think 9 days are long enough to see the major cites in Egypt as the following:
2 full day tours from 09am to 04 pm in Cairo are enough to see the highlight of the city as following:
Day 1: Giza Pyramids & Sphinx, Saqarra and Memphis
Day 2: the museum, Citadel & Mohamed Ali Mosque, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar.
All these sites can be fit in 2 days.
2 full day tours in Luxor:
Day 1: Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens and Queen Hatshepsut Tempel
Day 2: Karnak Tempel and Luxor Tempel
you can do the Felluca ride either in Cairo or in Luxor one hour before sunset, it's the best time to enjoy it as the view os the sunset in the Nile is very beautiful.
If you are interested in Monument, you can add to your itenerary Aswan City, it's 2 and half hour driving from Luxor where you can spend one more night.
For arranging tours in Cairo I recommend you to arrange it yourself by booking hotel and flight online then contact any tour guide to handel you the sightseeing tours. Pls. check this link: www.egyptdailytours.com
Then you will have like 5 more days to spend in the Red Sea
Have a nice trip.
Reply to this Hi again,
I forget to tell you about the Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. It's very beautiful and you will enjoy sailing on the Nile very much, and there will be many stops to visit the monument of every city, There are 3 night, 4 night and 7 night ones.
Have a nice trip
