A post card for my son's classroom

I would like to ask you to send my son Tristen a post card to him at his school as part of a class project
19 years ago, March 1st 2005 No: 1 Msg: #1368
MY son, Tristen, 8, has a project in his 2nd grade classroom, where the teacher has placed a black and white map of the world on the wall. She has asked the children to speak with family and friends and ask them if they would send in post cards. As the post cards come in, the different countries will be colored in.
Tristen asked me how he could get people in other countries to send post cards, when we don't know anyone who lives in differnt countries. He asked if he could pick up the phone and call some numbers and ask whoever answers if they would help him, ( I am still laughing about that) I told him that I know people in other countries, but not well enough to call and ask them to do this, I don't even have their numbers.
But I do have a computer, and the internet is connected to everywhere!!
So, I have started this thread in hopes that you could help Tristen, by sending him a post card from where ever you are in the world, and if you know anyone in another country, please pass this on to them, and maybe they can send one in too.

I want to teach him, that there are good people everywhere in this world, and if you ask for help, there are those who will answer...

The address to send to is: (TC is my son's initials)

TC C/O
Mrs. Smith's Second Grade Class
Lincoln Elementary School
746 North Maple Grove
Hudson, MI 49247 USA

Thank you for your time...and hopefully your help in putting a smile on a little boy's face when he gets the recognition for all of the post cards from all over the world coming into his class for him...

hi dave - i'll be happy to send your son postcards of county donegal here in ireland. does he want each one individually sent or can i send a selection in one envelope?

i will also get others via my site to send postcards if i can. in the meantime, you can down load samples of very old postcards i have on my site - i can't send these unfortunately as they are dated as far back as 1909!) but i will definately send more up to date ones.

hope he gets lots of cards!

I think if you were kind enough to send them in one envelope, that would be just fine!!

Thank you very much!! I am sure Tristen will be very excited to see the cards come in!!

Again, Thanks!!

Dave
