I have week off in april (2nd week). My husband is busy with his work, friends are not available either. I would love to travel somewhere, or maybe do some activity travel? Was thinking hiking (something very simple as I am not very sporty lately) or cycleing? Or some theatre tour? Anything different...
Is there anything arranged for my case?
I live in California.
Also on budget!
Reply to this Hi Lamail,
I think spending a week in Asia would be wonderful if you are in California as it'll be a direct flight with 10-12 hours flying time. Japan is good but it could get a bit expensive on meals if you don't know where to go. Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia are very cheap when traveling locally (I have no idea about the tickets to these countries). You might want to skip Singapore as you'd get bored spending a week there. My two cents.
Have fun,
Wendy
Reply to this I guess it really depends on what you consider a budget. Also, a week... does that mean you'll only want to be gone for the weekdays, or the weekends too? Japan is realistic on a budget of about $1300-1600... my 10 day trip ran me about $1600, but I did ALOT of drinking! 😊 Travel outside of Tokyo, and you pay a premium for the train.
If you're in S. California, it would be rather easy for you to do a National Park tour... Death Valley, Valley of Fire, Zion, and back. That'll just run you Gas and accomadations. (Not that i've been to any of them! live right in the middle of them all but never bothered playing in my own back yard! heh).
Maybe an Extreme getaway? Find somewhere you can go paragliding, bungee jumping, skydiving... make a days adventure of each.
Reply to this Thanks for the response....
I found from the internet company called Green Tortoise Adventure Travel. I will check this out! Seems like they have fun stuff there....
I love Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Zion, Sedona. I would love to go there again and again. Have been there couple of times. Death Valley 4 times. Love it!!!!!!!!!
Reply to this Have you ever thought about traveling to Guilin, China? After I graduate from university, I became live here. It's a beautiful and clean city and it's famous for its Li River. High buldings are not allowed to be constructed here. wherever you walk around this city, you may feel the perfect conbination of nature and human beings.
Reply to this Welcome to travelblog 😊
Sounds really nice in Gulin, China, though I think it would need a trip a little longer than a week to justify it from California, USA 😊
