Providing the world continues to move in a positive direction where do you plan to travel to in 2022?
Reply to this We hope more countries will not only open up to Americans but have high vaccination rates and low new COVID cases.
This year our spring trip will include Malta, Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily.
We would like to do some additional travel but we will have to wait and see what the world holds for us.
Reply to this In response to: Msg #209473 Sounds like you have planned a Mediterranean cruise. We plan to attend my son and daughter in law's wedding in CA in May, then Scotland in Aug/Sep, and for our 50th anniversary in Dec perhaps a Caribbean cruise to as many islands that will have us.

No cruise. We are heading to Malta to attend the Travelers Century Club's International meeting. Since we will be in the area we will explore Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily. It should be fun.
Reply to this Next year I want to make
- a city trip to Kiew (Ukraine) if possible
- a journey on the Transsib from Russia via Mongolia to China if possible
- maybe a city trip to Tunis (Tunisia)
- maybe a journey to Taiwan
I am curious if this is will be possible.
This would add 4 countries to my list which reaches then 59 or 60 (I need to count again, when I have some time).
Reply to this My dream for next year is that COVID gets under control enough I can plan more than a month in advance 😞 Three times this year I planned something, and then had to cancel as COVID in that area surged yet again. My plans, assuming the virus cooperates, include hiking in Colorado, a state I have no been to in over a decade, and the Maine coast.
Reply to this We are planning a trip to Croatia and hopefully Italy, as well as a week in London, for May of 2022.
Reply to this I just got my job back working on a cruise ship in the Caribbean, after being stuck at home in Germany for the last 18 month.
Hoping to go volunteer in Costa Rica next summer.
Reply to this Good news... we've just booked a trip. There is always a great feeling after making a decision. These days it takes a lot more thought and energy to decide if the timing and location are likely to be safe enough.
We head to Saudi Arabia the end of February... and are eager to uncover the mysteries of this country.
68% of the country has been vaccinated.
Reply to this If things get better I hope this year I'll be able to visit Azores (3rd time's the charm), Iceland and maybe return to Asia.
Reply to this Many countries sets limits and restrictions for tourists due to COVID19. When the situation is in control, I will want to travel abroad to explore the world.
Reply to this Plan your next travel to India, it sure is an epic place, all that harmonic chaos :D
Covid is being managed just fine considering the population and other hurdles. I would really like to travel to New Zealand .
Reply to this Currently unsure. Equally we can go nowhere until the UK passport office issue me with a new passport (8 weeks and counting so far). Tempted to visit friends in Western Europe and then descend through Eastern Europe to Turkey, Georgia et al. (Putin be damned), prior to a wedding in India and then back to Laos... Or, it may still be trekking season if/when I do ever regain a passport, so merely head straight to India for lengthy treks in Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh (one of our very few previously unvisited Indian states), see friends in Mizoram and Bangladesh, before beach time and then the nuptials and onwards to Laos? Lets just hope that the latest covid variants don't throw us another curve ball.....
Reply to this Finally have a passport. But..... it seems the UK and Canada have rather upset the Indians regarding visas. Thus they are not issuing evisas to us currently. However, across the border, the Pakistanis are. And so in a week we head to - currently rather wet - Islamabad.
Reply to this I nearly completed my big travels for this year. I did the following 4 short trips:
https://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Twag/Trips/35187 Short trip to Berlin, Germany
https://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Twag/Trips/35248 Short trip to Austria
https://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Twag/Trips/35307 Short trip to Tunisia
https://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Twag/Trips/35320 Short trip to France
Originally I also hoped to make a short trip to Kyev and ride the transsiberian railway, but both journeys needed to be cancelled.
Next year I hope to do Japan once again and maybe also Taiwan, if there is no invasion until then.
