Travel guide: please help settle a family debate.

Who writes the better travel guides: Lonely Planet or DK Eyewitness?

My sister-in-law is convinced that DK Eyewitness produce the best travel guides. However, I've always advocated Lonely Planet guides. Has anyone used both? What would you recommend? Please help settle this debate. Reply to this
