How much does it costs? Best cities? Safari?

Hi,

My mom's dream is to visit Africa and to take a Safari. I'm pretty young, I just started working but I want to start saving so I can take her there. Do you have any info? How much does a 5-7 day trip costs? Best cities to stay? Safe? Safari costs? Any information is more than welcome!

Thanks! Reply to this

Africa is a really big continent. Can you narrow down your question to an area or a country? Best is to start with reading some blog from different counties to decide what kind of safari you would like. (Use the search option to find relevant blogs.)
For Safari - Tanzania / Kenya are great. You can book a full safari with guide which will take min 4 days, and transit time, so in 5 - 7 days is all all you can do. Guided safaris can cost anywhere from $1000 (for tent) to $3000 for luxury accommodation. I did this with safari tent option and really liked it, you can read on my blog.
The other place is South Africa. There you can also do self-driving safari could cost less, depending on your choice of accommodation, but I would still budget minimum of $150 per day for 2 people. Johannesburg and Cape Town are nice cities to see.
I am sure other countries offer similar options. Reply to this
