I'm interested to know whether the recent (well what I thought was recent) spate of travel accidents has put anyone off travelling in Indonesia by air/rail/ferry?
I unfortunately read an article on the bbc guaranteed to give a person nightmares. I'm not a nervous traveller but I'm not fond of planes and I'm not fond of poor statistics.
I'd like to hear preferably nice stories about travel in Indonesia? Also maybe advice? Does anyone have a preference of one budget airline over another? One ferry company over another? Say one that won't break regulations by overcrowding.
