What exactly keeps people from travelling? I know money is an issue for a lot of people, but I think quite a few sites explain that you actually don't need that much money to travel. What more would it take to convince someone that you don't actually need that much money to travel?
Hi everyone,
I was just curious as to what exactly keeps people from travelling? I know people don't think they have enough money to travel, but I think quite a few sites explain pretty well that you actually don't require that much money to travel (even for extended periods of time). Wandering earl has a good post on this:

So I guess my question is, what would it take to convince someone that you don't actually need that much money to travel (I'm assuming this is the major problem)? More examples of nomads who are able to do it with little money? More pricing data?
Thanks!
Reply to this Hiya, are you trying to convince someone to travel who doesn't? In Australia I think those that don't travel are just very nervous about leaving their comfort zone. They are happy to go to the town 2 hours away by car so why go to the stress of an airport, an aeroplane and a different culture. Plus who knows what might happen out there in the big bad world as the news sure does show a lot of bad things happening in other places. In Perth at least it is way more expensive to stay anywhere local for a vacation and I think no one argues with that.
And, not everyone wants to travel or enjoys it. So maybe no need to convince people 😊
Of course, I am very happy to travel and will pretty much waste any cent I happen to save on travel over anything else 😊 But...I do have family members who are very much happier to not go anywhere and think i'm insane.
Each to their own I say and whatever makes each person happy 😊
