Schengen Visa

Bookings for Schengen Visa application.

Hello! I'm planning my first trip to Europe this summer. I'm taking a summer course in Germany, and the university already sent me by post mail an invitation letter, but my concern is regarding the requirement of a booked flight. Any airline won't book a flight without paying, and what if I pay and don't get the visa? and if I decide to take a risk, when is the best moment for booking flights cheaper?
Ok, almost forgot, I'm a Colombian citizen (South America). Reply to this

I spent three and a half years in Europe without a Schengen visa. There are almost no border checks/stops within the EU and no one asked for one when I flew into Paris. The only border anyone looked was when I passed from Spain (which has lots of immigrants) to Portugal (which doesn't want Spain's immigrants). I'm a US citizen (a hassle in South America), so the situation might be different for you, but generally, you never even know when you cross a border. Reply to this
