Anyone got any recommendations for UK / European conservation volunteer holidays under 1 month long for under 16s, aside from GVI? My stepson turns 16 this August.. Reply to this

I highly suggest looking into Where There Be Dragons. It is a study abroad program based out of the United States. The program components include: rugged travel, home stay, trekking and wilderness exploration, service learning, survey of development, internships and independent study projects, language study, intro to philosophy/comparative religion, and focus of inquiry. There are a few programs that 15 year old's can go on as well as others for 16 year old's. The following is a page comparing the different programs offered: http://www.wheretherebedragons.com/prog.compare.php . I have been on a program myself to Sikkim, India. I highly suggest their programs. The personal growth students experience is incredible. Main website: http://www.wheretherebedragons.com/index.html . Also, I suggest looking at the Yak Yak's which are posts from current students about what they are learning and experiencing.

Best of luck,
