Travelling through Central and South America....tips please?!
11 years ago, December 25th 2012 No: 1 Msg: #164630
Planning a 5 month trip from April to August through Central and South America. I'll most likely be travelling alone (im a 22 year old female) so I'd prefer a group trip. Looked up a "Best of Central America" trip with Gadventures which is 32 days and goes from Playa del Carmen in Mexico to San Jose which I liked and a "Pacific to Atlantic" tour with Tucan Travel which goes from Quito to Rio and is about 70 days long. Prices seem pretty affordable by European standards but I'm not sure if that's only because I'm unfamiliar with local currencies... Has anyone had any experiences with either of the companies who would recommend them?? Reply to this

our friends did something similar in 65 days and they were really happy with the tour;-) It gives you the entertaining factor of a group and certain security level especially that you are a single female traveler. There are places here that better to have a company. I would suggest to take the longest possible one - this continent is way to vast for 32 days and bear in mind all the extra costs. I remember our friends mentioned there ware a lot of them so better to check before you book;-)
happy Travels,
