British man becomes first person to visit all 201 countries... WITHOUT using a plane
Wow, this really is amazing. My father won't travel out of the UK because he hates flying. This will give him hope.

thanks for sharing. one article i read actually called it a low-cost trip, just with all the money he saved from not flying. i wonder what the expense difference would've been if he had.
i was compiling a list of this week's travel news and stumbled upon another inspiration story from CNN somewhat down the same vein of thought. this 73-year-old Swedish boat-builder plans to sail in the world in a bathtub-sized vessel. he believes that a smaller craft will be less dangerous. kinda sounds like a real-life imitation of life of pi to me (:
the CNN article is
here
and mine is
here
kinda amazing how many different ways of travel there are (:

Reply to this Nice to see someone eschewing air travel like this. Hopefully it will encourage other people to do the same. Air travel is bad for the environment, and airports must be amongst the most unfriendly places on the planet.

Reply to this Unbelievable! 201 Countries without a plane. I am curious whether Graham will write a book about his travels.
