Currently researching the best airline stopovers! I would like to know your opinions in regards to airport facilities, distance to city, etc.

Hi!
I am currently doing some research on airlines stopovers. I have already collected a list of my favorite stopover destinations on my blog. I would like to add a few more. Which was your best stopover? Can you tell me about incredible airports with outstanding facilities, distance to the city and anything else that you find relevant.
I look forward to hearing your suggestions! Reply to this

There is a website that outlines this including details in case you want to sleep over there. I'm sure someone will mention it as i cant quite remember 😊

But mine would have to be Singapore or Hong Kong airports. They have lounges (beds and showers), movies, internet, shops, airline lounges, many restaraunts, tours into the city if you have extended layovers etc etc. Reply to this

Thank you for your input! Hong Kong is great too! Unfortunately it was over 10 year ago the last time I visited Hong Kong, so I a not sure about the things that have changed. So does Hong Kong airport also offer city tours? I might have to add Hong Kong to my list if that's the case! Reply to this

I'm more familiar with Asian airports, and I have to throw another vote in for Singapore. Changi is amazing: free wifi, 24-hour restaurants, comfortable+ample seating... There's also the train station to get you into the city (: Reply to this

Hi Shane, yes thats it! It is a very funny read but still lots of good info in there 😊
thanks!

And yes, you'll be able to do a 2 hour tour i think from HK airport into the city. I used to have 12 hour layovers in HK from the US to Australia and the lounges are really worth the value. I think they were about AUD$50 and you could have a sleep, food, magazines, internet and a shower. All worth it when doing 30 odd hours of flying 😊
