I (Chris) LOVE food.
I would love to visit some of the restaurants on the TV show 'Man Vs Food' to try some of the challenges.
Have any travel bloggers ever tried any of the challenges featured on the show or any food challenges?
Or maybe some bloggers have tried an unusual delicacy?
Ever visited a restaurant that all of the locals consider epitomise the place they call home?
What is the biggest/best/weirdest/worst thing you have eaten or drank?
Mine would have to include lobster blood, scorpion, kopi luwak (think I've spelt that correct?), worms & crickets, to name but a few.
Reply to this I love that show! I've just come back from America, where they had it on the travel channel almost constantly some days. I did try and go to the place he visited in the town where I was living, in Louisville, but unfortunately it had recently closed down.
Saying that though I ate enough giant sized burgers, BBQ Pork sandwiches and rib dinners to last me a lifetime whilst over there and I'm actually quite happy to be eating healthily again without the constant temptation!
As for weird foods eaten........I suppose silkworms, locust and flying ants are some of the weirdest I've had in Asia (although rather tasty!). I've also eaten dog in North Korea and guinea pig in Ecuador. Probably the most foul food I've eaten though (excuse the pun!) was curdled chickens blood soup in China.
