Everybody here speaks about traveling, trips and tours to different destinations, but what is your reason for needing to travel?
I travel to keep my eyes open. Sometimes I find myself stuck, I become enamoured with routine and sometimes the idea of breaking that routine terrifies me, but once I'm on the road I find myself awakened, every part of me is challenged and I feel truly alive. I never feel more myself than when I have a backpack on my back and a ticket to somewhere in my hand.

oh i love that amy and/or chris! 😊
I have definitly had friends make comments to me like 'so are you over the travel bug yet' or "once you have kids you wont be able to travel any more". There is so much more of the world to go to why would i possibly want to sit at home in perth and never leave..... so the answer is definitly no, i am not over the travel bug yet...and i hope i never am! 😊)

The ones who make those comments don't understand and more likely will never.
As you read the pages of travel blog you see many, many families on the road. Children do not have to stop the adventure and wonder of traveling. Traveling provides an education not found in our schools.

I just recalled this experience a few days ago. A friend said to me once, "Why in the heck would you spend all that money to go to Africa when you could buy a JET SKI?!"
Yup, some people just don't get it and never will.

Absolutely!!
.....and I would be quietly thinking to myself-- why would you want a noisy jet ski to ride in circles when you could explore the world.
(I'm sure they shake their heads at me because I don't understand that attraction)
Reply to this I have a friend that I am constantly pulling to go do things. It is nicer to travel with someone and I was glad to have her when we went to Oz. She rides motorcycle, so we have been on one trip together so far. I am trying to talk her into Seattle next summer on motorcycle. She laughs at me when I say I have a travel bug and just agrees with a smile. We get along well because we understand each other and don't fine fault all the time. I typically don't hang with people who are so critical.
