Are there enough services available for us who like to immerse ourselves in the culture and environment.
I have noticed that most travel services that are available when I travel to a first World country are not a real reflection of the actual culture.
I have just got back from South East Asia in which a lot of the tourism was localized (or appeared to be to some extent) and can't believe how false the tourism services that are available in my own Country, New Zealand - which are owned by big tourism Companies.
The reason I ask this is because my best experiences are usually when I get off the track and engage with locals who are selling home made tours.
