Female backpacking alone through Morocco- is it safe?

I'm backpacking through Morocco alone in a couple of weeks and wondering if it's safe.

Some of my friends have raised concern about the fact that I, as a female, am backpacking alone in Morocco right now.
They said that the situation isn't politically stable enough for me to travel alone. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions or opinions on this?
I'm feeling a tad rattled after the bombing in Marrakesh. Reply to this
