Want some advise on March holiday
13 years ago, January 25th 2011 No: 1 Msg: #127339
Hi
We're planning a 2 week holiday, ideally going last weekend in feb. We want it to be warm and would love some time at a really nice, quiet beach but not the whole 2 weeks so are looking for somewhere with different things to do, some culture and maybe wildlife.
We had a year backpacking 3 years ago and so have been to Thailand, India, Cambodia etc
We're happy in budget accommodation but after having had to stick to a tight budget while travelling we're prepared to spend a bit to get a good holiday
Places we're considering at the mo are Cuba, Jamaica, Sri Lanka (think the flooding may mean we couldn't do everything we would ideally like to), Zanzibar and Tanzania (think a safari may be too expensive), Japan (too cold?)
We'd love your suggestions/advice!

We have traveled to many Caribbean islands and one of my favorites is Dominica. The island nickname is "The Nature Isle" It is lush, green and has amazing flowers. Dominica offers great diving, hiking and relaxing. We first heard of this island when we were in Barbados visiting with some locals. We asked which was their favorite Caribbean island and they quickly answered Dominica.

This is not an over populated island and you will not find a strip of high rise hotels. Most places are quaint and small. You can find accommodations in all price ranges.

The Morne Trois Pitsons National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site-- we hiked to some beautiful waterfalls, canoed down tranquil rivers and For serious hikers the trip to Boiling Lake is a must! This island offered volcanoes, black sand beaches and rain forest.

A lovely and unique island.

........and did I mention great diving?

Happy Travels- let us know where you decide to go and can't wait to read your blog!

Hello David and Ruth.

I'm Kanuth from Tanzania.I would like to welcome you to Tanzania the land of Serengeti and Zanzibar. As you have mention on your plan that you want to spend 2weeks on your holiday this is possible to be done in Tanzania.

For 2 weeks you can have enough time to visit some National parks like selous,,Udzungwa and Mikumi and one week resting in beach at Zanzibar.

We have our tour company and we can arrange that for you and we promise to give you good service and reasonable price.I mean I will make your Safari not very expensive.

please visit <snip>

and feel free to ask any question or information
You are welcome.

Kanuth.
