We are planning to be in the south of india for Christmas and would love some advice on South Goa and Kerala.

We have heard Patnem beach is beautiful in Goa but wondered whether anyone has any recommendations on where to stay?

Also we plan to be in Kerala for Christmas, is doesn't seem like there are many beachside places - does any one have any recommends?

Hi Emma,

In Kerala you can visit, Kovalam its a renowned beach, it consists of three adjesent beaches. Varkala and Cherai are also there.
I am recommending you the backwaters of Kerala also try Alleppey, try some Island stays - surely you will like it.

Hi Emma,

I visited Patnem at the end of April this year and loved it. I stayed at a place called Home, which has a very chilled out atmosphere and really good food. Definitely recommended! Their web address is: http://www.homeispatnem.com/

Hi Emma, the site Erik mentioned has a bit of information on it, but I found this info a LOT more useful. This site provides some interesting information about both Goa and Kerala as well as a lot of other locations and attractions that you may find interesting. Check them out!

Hi Emma,
Most of India's finest beaches are in kerala. Alappuzha beach is a natural wonderland of Kerala state, Bekal Beach is stands on a promontory between two long classically beautiful palm fringed beaches and Beypore Beach,Cherai Beach are also there. These beaches are also very beautiful.
