Welcome to Travelblog
The trip function links different blogs from the same trip into one trip. If you just want to write one blog on a trip, then just choose 'add entry from your control panel'

Just to add; the blog entries are linked automatically to Trips, according to the date range of the Trip and the date on the blog entry.
