So my wife and I are finally making the trek this winter. We've lived in Northern Ontario all our lives and need to see something tropical for once. I thought I'd kick off the research early and try to get some advice from people who have been.
So far what we've decided is we want to go somewhere with good beaches and swimming of course, but also a good night life where we can meet people and have some fun. Trick is of course finding a happy medium for this. We would prefer an adult resort (we don't want children running around us in the buffet line if it was a "late" night the night before), but also don't want to end up in a seniors resort (nothing against seniors, just want people our own age around). No problem with college age up as far as age goes.
Biggest problem I've been having is when I look for "adult oriented resorts" I come up with mainly Hedo resorts or nudist colonies. Hedo actually sounds pretty fun, my wife and I would be into it for sure however after much searching and digging it seems like the average age might be almost twice ours and I can't get a good picture on how good the rooms are. Hedo of course posts pictures of what look like models playing and having fun, but whenever I see actual pictures from people who have visited it looks more like people in their 40s+. Again, no offense to anyone in those age brackets, it's just we're looking for a place with people our own age to socialize with.
So I guess that's the main question then, where would be a good place that fits:
-age 18-35
-great beaches
-good night life, or at least near to some bars where we can meet people and have some fun
-necessarily a nudist colony but ok with a half\half like hedo (not required but we're ok if it's this kind of resort)
-great rooms\suites, would love something with balconies over the beach, maybe a hottub, that kind of "great" room
-all inclusive preferred (saves the hassle for us first time travellers figuring out food\drinks\etc)
-money at this point is no object (but not a 10,000$ a night celebrity island)
Thanks to any and all input I can get, totally new to this, got my passport in the mail just days ago. We have a travel window of approximately November to February so I think we can find pretty much any locations good season in there somewhere.
