How do you guys take long leave from your work and go for a long holiday?
Reply to this In our case both me and my husband we just stopped working. We will have to find new works once we are back from our adventure.
I know many others that have used the economy dowtime in the world to take a long leave of absence and their employers were more than happy to give it (for the employer it saves a lot of costs - he does not to reduce workforce and when the economy will pick up again, he wont have costs of re-hiring...).
At the end of the day - its a matter of priorities in life. If you have traveling high up, I am sure you will find the way to travel, long or short - it may involve some risks (but risk with traveling vs. stability and no traveling is the type of priority I refer to).

Reply to this I've been thinking of that too, stopped working, and then hunt for job once I am back. But the thought of jobless for months is a nightmare. All I need is 2 weeks.
