Hey

When you check your bags in the check in folk usually clip your straps together so they don't get stuck anywhere en route.

Hello Chris 😊

I dont do any thing with straps, and they never seem to get caught in anything. Likely, because the airline staff are aware of the getting caught potential and are careful when putting the backpacks on the conveyer belts. One airline did put my bag in a big plastic bag, but they usually dont do this.

If you want, you could take some duck tape and wind it some around your backpack a few times to keep the straps secured.

Some airports have the horribly environmenatlly unfriendly service of wrapping luggage in cling film. It cost something though.

my backpacks got like a built in rain cover thing that go's over the top so i think i mite be able to get away with securing the straps up and then covering it up with that just to be safe .

just hope every thing calms down in bangkok before i get there Reply to this

We have been on a lot or airlines. Normally sort of tie the straps up but they don't seem to ever be a problem. Tried a cover once. Was torn to pieces so we gave up. If something goes wrong then so be it. Reply to this

Never really experienced this problem. 😊 Been using packs and straps all the time and I've never really experienced such issue yet. Reply to this
