Travelling 1st time, need as much advice as possible please

Me and my partner are saving to travel and just wondering how much we will need per day on average in the following places, per day i mean, accommodation and daily money combined, as we have no idea: -

This is where we plan to go, does anyone have an idea of best order to visit these places also?

Fiji
Sydney
Tokyo
Beijing
Thailand
Delhi
Manila
Rio de Jeneiro
Dubai
Cape town
New york

We are planning on staying in each place around a week, and increasing our stay by staying in the cheaper places for 4-5 weeks, adding up to around 5-6 months.

Any advice on how much money we will need? Ive read numerous numbers on the site, but unsure if it relates to price per person, or price combined?

We are looking to stay in cheap accommodation, and basic daily food, water etc that we need.

This is excluding day trips and safari etc, which we will have a seperate budget for.

Hi Matt,
I don't claim to be an expert but the bestest of best advice I can give you is that whatever number you come up with, you should always always bring more by atleast half of the amount. Things so wrong, make sure the exchange research is up to date and accurate, and just for over all security. Now a question for you; How are you travelling from place to place?
