Student from California Wwoofing in South America

Has anyone Wwoof'd in South America or planning on taking a trip?

Hi, i'm a student from California taking a Gap Year, and i'm interested in traveling through Ecuador, Peru and Chile by Wwoofing– volunteering on organic farms in exchange for a place to sleep and a community to live in. I have no experience in international or independent travel, but this seems like a great way to learn about sustainable living, interact with communities of a different culture and lifestyle, and travel cheaply. Has anyone Wwoof'd in these countries, and if so, do you have any experiences or advice to share? Do you have any farms to recommend? Or is anyone else thinking of taking a simular trip? I'd love to talk! Reply to this
