Wondering if others have experiences shipping food items to USA

Hello,

I'm shipping a small amount of olive oil and some dates to my home in the USA, from Great Britain. Will my items ever make it or will they be stopped in customs?

I shipped from Venice last year and it took about 6 weeks. My "stuff" went thru customs OK. Purchased Waterford glass in Ireland and it too took about 6 weeks. Had to pay customs on that shipment. In both cases the shipment arrived in great condition. Perhaps I was lucky. Reply to this
