My friend owns a music store in Fremantle. He gives me a t.shirt every time I go away.I have 5 or 6 of these shirts and I get photos whereever I go.He has these pics all over his shop.It makes all my friends very jealous as they can all see my adventures instead of just hearing about them Reply to this

I'm sure you've all seen the "Where's Matt" videos on Youtube. He did a silly dance in a few places and e.mailed vids to freinds. They were forwarded and eventually ended up in the inbox of a PR guy for a new chewing gum company. They decided to sponser Matt to travel the world for a year and have him do his stupid dance in some incredible places.
I take great pains to get the best t.shirt photos possible to send back to Jason ,the shop owner and great bloke, but he can't afford to pay my $2.40 bus fare home from the shop let alone sponser me around the world.Isn't life cruel.I do enjoy planning my photos though and seeing everyones jealousy when I go to the shop Reply to this

This reminds me of advertisements I see for Camel and Marlboro cigarettes in airports, except they use models instead of real travellers. Reply to this

That is amazing! He certainly must have plenty of chriasma, since he can get others to join in that, especially when just about everybody else in the videos is a better dancer than he is. :D

It would be interesting to know how many backpackers would agree to be filmed while travelling, or would be interested in being sponsored by a company. I will branch this thread and find out. 😊 Reply to this

Pick me.Pick me!!!!!!!
Many people talk about how wonderful it must be to be a presenter on 1 of the many travel shows on TV these days.I couldn't think of anything worse.Only having a couple of days somewhere before you have to get to next place and having to walk past the same atraction 50times until you get your lines perfect.I'm sure it would ruin travel.

I was kinda wondering too, if doccumentary making about my trip would be an invasion of privacy. I am not sure I would want cameras following me everywhere. I like to sit around a lot and soak up the atmosphere, and that would likey not be enough action for them. But, maybe they switch off the cameras when you want some chill time.

I suppose my willingness to have my trip invaded by film people would depend on whether they were paying me for it. If they gave me enough for another trip or payed for the trip they are filming to make up for them being there, I might do it. Reply to this

I'm thinking about doing this actually. Doing my current trip as a practice run of sorts.
This will be the first time documenting one of my adventures.
I'm hoping people will let me post there stories in some sort of way.
I want to respect people's rights to privacy but I think the best part
of travel is talking to people you meet.

We'll see what happens in the grand experiment. Reply to this
