hi, I'm planning to travel to Egypt this November, 2009. I will be there for about one week. Could someone recommend me any good spots to visit and take pictures? Also any good and affordable accommodations are also greatly appreciated.
Btw, if anyone travels to Egypt at that time and wants to form a group to travel together, feel free to let me know. I will be happy to join.
Thanks.
TD
Reply to this Hello Tim 😊
For getting a group together, you could put a separate post in the Looking for Travel Companions, if you want.

Reply to this Thanks Mel for the info 😊
Also, if anyone could share some info about the traveling costs over there (eating, transportation, entrance fees, other services fees like riding house or camels, etc.) , that would be great helps!!!
Thanks,
TD.

best regards Reply to this It's a must for anyone thinking about travel to Egypt. It's important to respect Egyptian culture and customs. Planning your trip well is essential if you are to enjoy travel to Egypt. Searching for cheap Egypt travel packages or other Egypt travel deals can pay off handsomely if you put enough legwork into it. It's also worth looking at various Egypt travel brochures, which usually feature some of the most.

Reply to this i went last summer to cairo (with day trips to Memphis/Saqarra/Dahshur & Alexandria), luxor, aswan (with daytrip to abu simbel). Although all places have great sites and took many great pictures in all cities, the two places you could do in a week that is the most picturesque is Luxor and Aswan (aswan being the most beautiful of the two however not as many sites to see). Most of my pictures are from Luxor and i would say Karnak is the most amazing site that i have seen where i visited in egypt. cairo was nice, interesting to see the great pyramids and a couple of the mosques but not much beyond that for what i can remember.
So if i were to place my favorites in order i would place #1 Aswan, #2 Luxor, #3Cairo
As for eating, transportation, costs, etc, i kept a detailed diary of ym entire trip you can pull info from, just send me a message with your email. But keep in mind i went in slow season (June).
Reply to this me and my friend will also be in Egypt nov 5- nov 15. if anyone wants to tag along with us, we'd love to have ya. we are gonna start in cairo and plan on to Aswan and Luxor. Give me a shout if you wanna meet up..the more the merrier!
