I'm going to South Africa mid August. I'm starting in Cape Town and then I would like to do a safari. I'm interested in a walking safari. I was thinking of Kruger as it would be close and cheaper. My other option is Zambia.
Would anyone recommend one over the other? I'm interested in seeing as much wildlife as possible. Any suggestions would help.
Also the company I'm using is UYAPHI......anyone hear of them? Are they a reputable company?
Reply to this The most famous landscape there in Zambia is Victoria Fall, it's located in Livingstone. it's far from the capital.
Reply to this There are opportunities for walking safaris in Zambia but Zambia tends to be much more expensive compared to other countries in the region. Zambia seems to have trouble filling the middle niche and operators are focused on high end - not exclusively but not to the extent that other countries do. I think you will do quite well in RSA alone. If you are traveling overland toward Zambia, you will also really enjoy Botswana, especially the Chobe area.
