I may take them camping with me, but not to a hotel. I have two bigger dogs. They are mutts and were rescued. Reply to this

One reason I dont want to have a pet is because it might restrict my travel. When I have the time and money to travel, I dont want to be restricted because of a pet.

I met a Canadian couple last time I was in Bangkok. They had found a stray dog in Cambodia that was in such bad condition that they did not want to leave it there. They said it was difficult to find a vet there to give it the vaccinations it needed. I dont think the guesthouse owner where they were staying in Bangkok liked them keeping the dog there either, but they at least tolerated it. I dont know how they will get the dog back to Canada. It looked like one that will grow to at least medium size.

For some countries quarantine applies for animals entering. Ireland is particularly restrictive about this. Also, many people in Ireland dont like animals indoors anywhere or even tied someplace on a city street. A person would have a hard time travelling there with a pet.

In Germany it would be easier to travel with a pet, because they are allowed into most places.

There just seem to be too many things to consider where travelling with a pet is concerned. Reply to this
