On my last around the world trip i took this fantastic mini laptop with me and i did not spend one single cent on internet cafes as most places have free wi-fi. This was definetely the best thing i have ever bought
It has webcam, it weights less than 1kg and the battery lasts 5 hours
Reply to this How much time per day did you spend on it Piero? I would be afraid that with something like that at my finger tips, I would be browsing the internet for hours per day. There would always be something on the internet that would grab my attention. And these days my travel time is so limited as it is.
Reply to this Hey Piero, what is the model number of this one - Asus have a lot of different netbooks available now.
Reply to this the model in the pic (which is the one i have) is Asus eee pc 901 which was a huge hit when it came out because of its dimension, speed and long battery life
and mel i was on it a lot i must admit especially when i was waiting around at the airport for a flight or in the evening before i would sleep
Reply to this Great thanks, I'm looking at one before my trip next year - one of those with a 160GB Memory - great for storing photos for a few weeks.
I too found that having a laptop is great at the end of a long day, staying inside my humble room whilst uploading and sorting photos always ensures that there is never time to get bored, even on an extended travel journey.
Reply to this oh yeah definetely - i would take pics daily and by the end of the day i would have them uploaded on flickr and facebook thanks to my mini laptop!
Reply to this ....when i was waiting around at the airport for a flight....
That is certainly when I would like to have one. I spend hours and hours at airports.
