I am living in Kampala for a year and plan on visiting the national parks around. In May a Ugandan friend and I want to go to Murchison Falls. (Neither of us have ever been before). Any suggestions for how many days we should stay at the park and any must-do experiences? What are the best and cheepest means of transport from/to Kampala and accomodation for the nights? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Oh and any info on the safety and stability of the region? Thank you! We are very excited for this trip! Reply to this

I was there a year ago and I think it was pretty good.. we lived at para lodge which was very nice but it wasn't cheap.
If you're there in the weekend there should be locals dancing and singing at a camp fire which was fun (you can join in - singing or drumming). you should go on the boat trip down to the waterfalls, its amazing, so many hippos! we didn't see the falls upclose because you would have to walk for a while and we didn't really have the time. as I know theres no problems there, but if you a driving there yourself you should be sure of the route, cause it has a tricky part where you have to go what seems like right through a village. I hope u enjoyed it all bse i have just been there 3 days ago and only came back because my leave was done, the falls are excesively breath taking, the sound, the view, so great, i think its got a virgin composutre with the vegetation, not tampered with like most other Parks, the animals, i touched a hippo {i ll dream about that}, there was something new to learn from the villagers all the time, the food, the dances, clothes {designing must have started there, hehe} cant wait for my next vacation,,,, Reply to this

Hey! did you enjoy your safari to Murchison falls? You could come back soon and just in case, you might have to look consider a 3 days Murchison falls safari for a short but outstanding experience in the wilderness of Uganda. Good news in Uganda has all the big five animals. Reply to this

I would say Murchison Falls National Park is apparently the most visited national park in Uganda and visiting it will reward you the best experience of an African safari. You could check out this 3 days Murchison falls safari to Uganda. Reply to this
