What are some of the worlds most luxurious / beautiful / serene / divine destinations?
I am only recently engaged, and probably won't get married until this time next year, but it never hurts to get your dream off to a running start. My fiance and I are interested in doing a 4-6 month RTW backpacking trip kicked off and/or concluded with some real luxury. We'll be visiting family periodically in Canada, Brazil, Portugal, Italy, and England, as well as doing some adventuring in Asia and Africa, so the world is open to us (as long as we get the funds organised).
Any suggestions?

Hopefully you get a lot more ideas and have a great vacation!
Reply to this Thank you for the links! I'll check them out in more depth today.
I usually search before posting a new thread but I forgot this time.
Reply to this Congratulations Nikky,
It's all depend what is you budget...if you want to dream a little, googel Tia Moana...the budget is insane...but this is pretty nice...
If the is no budget....few great safari places in Sabi Sabi and Krueger Park...Orient-Express from Paris to Venise and than stay few nights in Venise....can't believe that for the moment you can have the Danielli for 200euros a night! Tour and stay in the best old palaces over Rajhastan, if you stop in the States, think about Harbour Island in the Bahamas...pink sands, outrageously beautiful place...in Brazil, Ponta dos Gauchos...
If you go for 6 months...rather than take a week of real luxury...why not allow one night per month in an impressive place...you check-in at 9am....chec-out in the afternoon but don't leave the property till late afternoon....that would give you a great return on your money.
If you want more ideas, go to have a look at the web sites of Banyan Tree and Aman resorts...
And again, Congratulations!
Peter
Reply to this Hi!
If I were to be on a romantic honeymoon myself, it would be on a romantic place, or perhaps a romantic city? I'll choose Venice, the most beautiful and romantic place on the world. You can even share some adventurous travel and visits in many exotic places, along with very nice and friendly people.
Have a memorable romantic escapade! 😊 Reply to this We went to Namibia for our honeymoon and thought it was one of the best places we have ever been. There is lots to do and some great places to stay. There is also a reasonable range of accommodation prices so whatever your budget you can stay somewhere cool. Look at my blog if you want to see where we went.
Reply to this If budget isn't an obstetrical - There is always the Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Google that one 😊
Reply to this Lee Ann...do you really think the Atlantis is a honeymoon place...a fun place for the kids maybe...I have only seen the new Dubai one...my pick for Bahamas...Pink Sands on Harbour Island..and if in Nassau...Ocean Club...just my little opinion...
Reply to this In as much as I would take either - you bet 😊 I am such a brat. LOL
Reply to this In as much as I would take either - my ex didn't think I was worth a honeymoon. LOL His loss.
Reply to this Lee Ann, I'm sorry you did not get a honeymoon...but to be honest, you don't need only one honeymoon....you can have a lot of VERY romantic trips...it's even better....that say, it only apply obviously if you are in a great relationship...it's the case for me today, but was not always the case. So I see it very "carpe diem"...if I'm in a great relationship...I push the romantic trips...and if I'm single, I keep the more adventurous ones....Galapagos and Antartica were amazing...but it was for sure no romantic trips...this why I didn't mind to do them single at the time.
Reply to this I am trying to make up for some of that now. I love to travel and eat out. His idea of going out was to take a fishing pole up to ponds where there wasn't a path to the ponds. One trip I can remember, I came home with water under the knee and bruises and scrapes from the trip. Only one thing I would like to go back for, I think there might be gold in the streams - I saw lead rock.
