Reply to this For New Year I'll be in L'viv, Ukraine, with my girlfriend. It's the biggest holiday in the former Soviet Union, and we've been in Kyiv for the last 2 years so decided to go somewhere a bit quieter and romantic. My parents will be at home and, as usual, asleep by 10!

Reply to this I forgot to say about New Years. I will be in Hardiwar, India beside the Ganges.

New Years will be the east coast of the north island - I'll be one of the first to see a 2009 sunrise :-)
Reply to this Hi Mell,

I will, but I am going to enjoy it from a distance rather than going into it, in order to avoid the throngs of tourists. Something about tour busses takes the romance away from places like that.
Reply to this For me Christmas and New Year's will be in Shanghai, China. First Christmas away from the family!! Thankfully I will be spending it with my partner. I'm very fortunate to have her here with me!

Reply to this Richard I spent last Christmas in Perth & New Years in Sydney - it was awesome! Have a fab time! I would def recommend trying to get onto a boat on the harbour if you can for the fireworks.
My Christmas will be spent in Northern Ireland (I fly there tomorrow nighht - only an 11hour flight to get me there but will be worth it to spend it with family, even though there is a pork ban - ARGH, how will I survive without Ham & bacon!?)
New Years will be in Hong Kong & then I fly to Perth, WA from 1st Jan to spend time with my brother & his family.
Very excited to be spending lots of time with friends and family! Sarah 😊
