Dedlerhaus' Competition

It was actually getting pretty cold as we walked back to our rooms. Everything was closed but there were plenty of interesting window displays. Just a few feet from the Dedlerhaus stood this competing hotel which seemed to be closed for the season. As we walked closer to our hotel we saw a tractor pulling a covered wagon filled with partygoers decked out in pirate's and 17th Century soldier's garb. Electronica disco music was blaring from the wagon full of Mardi Gras celebrants. I was afraid this might be a long night of loud noise and shenanigans. I didn't hear a peep and slept like a baby.

You would think that after going 36 hours without sleep, except for a half hour snooze during Shakespeare on the plane, that I would've had a long night's rest once I climbed into bed.
