View from the Stammtisch

About three blocks down from our hotel we saw the yellow glow from the lights of the Alte Post Hotel and found the menu in their window to our liking. Inside it was deserted and we sat down at a central table. After we got comfortable I saw a sign indicating this was the Stammtisch, a table normally reserved for the local regulars. Our waiter didn't make us move but he was a bit surly.

You would think that after going 36 hours without sleep, except for a half hour snooze during Shakespeare on the plane, that I would've had a long night's rest once I climbed into bed.
