​Stadstheater - NTGent (Nederlands Toneel Gent). Built as the Koninklijke Nederlandse Schouwburg in 1897-1898. Eclectic style, with a front façade with mainly neo-Renaissance elements, of five bays and three floors under a gable roof. Sint-Baafsplein 17. Dawn found Monarch Empress waiting to transit the Nieuwe Sluis Terneuzen and then follow the Ghent–Terneuzen Canal twenty miles (32 km) down to the city. Arrival in Gent was through its Dampoort.
