We flew to Auckland from Christchurch, and before I know it we're checked into our hotel and heading out to explore. We only have a few days here before heading on to San Francisco.
There is a huge tower just down from our hotel which houses a huge casino complex. It dominates the skyline in Auckland and you can even climb up and walk round the edge of it, not me though it's got a glass bottom and your harnessed from above, would be like walking on nothing.
We enjoy the area and the casino, pretty much breaking even and we even manage a boat trip out to the other side of the bay to explore. It really isn't a long enough stay but I enjoy what time we have here before heading on.
